Squier Telecaster

2005 Korean made SQUIER Master Series chambered body Telecaster.  They only made these for a few years, and the newer Indonesian versions don't come close to these!  The guitar is super light, and the frets are huge, w/o a burr in the bunch.  The neck is straight and the action is medium in hieght.  This particular guitar has had a couple of cool upgrades professionally installed to correct what I perceive top be the weakest links in the original design.  First, there's a set of locking tuners in matching brush aluminum finish.  Second, there's been a Gibson Les Paul wiring harness installed, w/ all new CTS pots.  The wiring has all been upgrades throughout, as these babies were known for great bodies w/ budget electronics.  Third, there's a set of Rio Grande Fat Bastard P90's; the Bastard in the neck and the Fat Bastard (slightly hotter) in the brdge.  These are awesome P90s!  Someone wrote they sound like bacon smells, they're THAT distinctive!  And I wholeheartedly agree.  Personally, this is the last time I try to sell this guitar with these p/u's, I like 'em so much; I'm keeping 'em if this stays home again.  If she doesn't sell this time, I'll take these out and go back to humbuckers, try selling her for a lower reserve.  The original brushed aluminum knobs have been switched out for gold top hat style.  Even the p/u height adjustment screws have been swapped out for colour correct black instead of chrome.  I like to think I got ever detail required.  I do NOT have the original knobs, p/u's, or any other parts!  The neck is super straght, and she sound awesome!  A real blues machine.  This was recently set up and had the intonation set at J David Luthiers here in town, about 9 months ago.  She's spent most of her life in a case, as I've used her mainly for songwriting.

Very light back scratch fever can be noted, though there is no chip or imperfection that goes THRU the finish.  The inlays around the edges are all beautiful w/ an aged ivory tint to them, w/ no flaws at all, especially clean joint at the neck, and oh; is she smooth.  Very stable neck joint.  And dig the square neck inlays!  How Gibson of them.  Also, the string length/scale is the same as a Les Paul (24 3/5").

The sticker is water soluble and comes off with ease.  I only left it on becuz the decal maker thought it was so cool he used a pic of this guitar on his ebay seller's website!  How y'like them apples?
